As posted before, I do not have much more time than usual during qurantaine. My two beautiful daughters make sure of that….. It matters not, even a little hobby time is appreciated!

Remember the single guy who features in my #monster March phoenix fotoshoot? He’s a basilean paladin or empire greatsword (depending on game universe) and he’s gonna get some more friends.
As I still have that basilean army in the back of my head and I, frankly, love the GW greatsword models, I took the opportunity to start another troop of them. (yep, even after the horde I finished some time ago)
I do not have any idea how I will base them, but for the time being, I’ll just paint up the models. Here’s the start:
(all painted in various stages of basecoat. Some even have basecoats of other colour schems. Such is the fate of models aquired through ebay.)

Another project that’s been bugging me for a while is that my undead army doesn’t have any soul reaver infantry. This is mainly because I dislike the Mantic models for them, both in price and aesthetic. Fortunately, a regular KoW forum contributer, Fredoslow shows a decent alternative here. It’s a paladin foot guard with ghoul headswap.
I promised Fred that I would steal this idea sometime, which I just started on.

These are two test models to try various colour schemes and armour painting methods. Last year I tried painting armour colours over other base colours than black (here’s the link to my brotherhood redemptionist) which worked well with dark green-grey and blue ink.
Here’s my basecoat to try with armour and green ink. Spoiler: doesn’t work that well, armour needs to go over a darker colour. So the two vampires are gonna get painted over and I’ll go about building more of them anyday now.
for all readers, keep safe during these trying times and enjoy the hobby!
