Army page – Goblins

Update january 2023

It’s been a while since I started my goblin army. During the last year and a half, I painted up quite a few regiments. I am even close to finishing a 2,300 point army!

The army list being:

I painted a vast majority of these models, needing only to paint tripple blasters and a regiment of bangsticks!

As my goblin army has progressed from a detachment of 375 points (under 2nd edition) to the current army of almost 1,000 points, I decided to make an army page for it.

Here’s how it all started:

Only 375 points under 2nd edition consisting of a horde of spitters, a mincer, one mounted biggit and a war trombone.  Original post here:

Then I slowly expanded this army by painting up a unit at a time. First a horde of rabble:

And then two sharpstick throwers:

The next project was two more mincers to fill out a regiment:

I realy love these models! Mincers are great and allow for giant customization.

The army was later on expanded by two trolls (not based yet) and a mage.

If I ever manage to complete the final three trolls (and get to base them), I have a 1,000 point army.

Until that time, I can borrow my undead trolls, which can also fill as their living counterpart.

Of course, I also have to steal my KoM giant, but that one is available anyhow.

As I posted on my available models before: here’s the 1,000 army under 3rd edition:

army list:

• Rabble horde (unlocks one character, titan, war machine and 2 troops)
• Troll horde. (unlocks remaining character, one unlock not used). 5 point magial item.
• spitter regiment (irregular)
• Mincer mob regiment (irregular)
• War Trombone (War machine)
• Biggit – bow
• Wiz – naked
• Giant (titan)

1,000 points on the spot.

Though I would have loved to mount my biggit and give -at least- bane chant and inspiring to the wiz, the point cost means losing the 3rd mincer. I don’t think I want to do that. Of course, this means I can easily expand to 1,200 points.
