Last year, I particpated in Swordsmaster’s Monster March. This year, I completely forgot to pledge something! But that can be solved quickly! So here’s my pledge for Monster March 20!
As I recently completed a general on winged beast (here full post) this was not something I could pledge. Instead, I have an ambitious project that I’ve been postponing for a bit.
As posted before, I’d like to paint a basilean Phoenix. It’s a gorgeous model that does require new painting methods (as shading and so on does not work that well on a model that’s supposed to be on fire) which I have literally never tried before. Here’s the model painted by Mantic.
Fortunately, my model has arrived only last well, so I can actually start. It’s a daunting prospect, but I’m gonna try anyhow as I can always reprime and restasrt the model if I do not like the results.
Below is the assembled model which now can be painted. But that’s for next week!

Nice. Swordies challenge is excellent. I’ve completely missed it for the last few years as like you just painted my big gribblies at the wrong time. Looking forward to seeing your progress
