Hobby updates – Brotherhood and Army of Darkness

Recently, I started out creating a new brotherhood army. Well, new, that is: I need to paint a few recoinnoiterers and four more knights. After these are multibased, I can field the army.

I would love to replace a few models after that, as using Reiksguard as order redemption feels a bit wrong. That said, hobby time being extremely limited these weeks, I’m doing that what has to be done to be able to field the army before doing nice-to-haves….

Anyhows, I painted up 2 of the remaining four Knights; the remaining two are drying out from their 2nd ink wash. They’ll be finished later on.

As soon everything is painted, I’ll have to multibase the horses. 4 reconnoiterers and 21 (!) knights are waiting for their new multibases.

the Army of Darkness

While waiting for the knights to dry out, I took some time to work on another project I had laying around. Remember the Army of Darkness post from early december?

Finally, I took some time to paint out a few of the remaining skeletons. (still need a few more, but we’re a little closer to the amount needed for the horde)

The left is an ordinary skeleton; probably GW orgin. The rightmost will be the spellcaster reading from the necronomicon. He’s a Mantic skeleton banner carrier with a pole-swap for a GW bit.

Also took some time to paint up the actual multibase. Remember how it looked like?

I also sculpted a necronomicon. (Plasticard + green stuff) I didn’t get to paint it, though.

All-in, I’m pretty content with the progress, even though hobby time is very limited. Next project will be:

a) Finishing brotherhood knights.

b) Multibasing troop of reconnoiterers and 6 troops of knights.

c) time permitting: finishing the skeletons and after that the skeleton multibase.

All-in, seems I’ll be busy to at least early summer! Happy gaming!
