Dortsche Krijgsheren 2024

Recently, my brother and I hosted a tournament – our 2nd ever. Dortsche Krijgsheren 2024 was a blast! We had 18 participants for 3 battles of 1,995 points and the games were great!

The tournament was hosted in the Energiehuis in Dordrecht (hence the name). You can find all results here.

like last year, my brother Theo took the trophy home again. Congratulations on winning this tournament again! Its sort of home turf, I get it, but still a marvelous achievement!

Playing a trident realm army wearing a squid-t-shirt may have intimidated most opponents!

I took 4th place after a surprising loss to JP in the 3rd battle. His army was a highly elite and fast Kingdoms of Men army posted here and though I should have known how to fight it. (I played something similar recently) I made all the mistakes others have made against me. Anyhows, congratulations friend, the win is rightly yours!

After Theo and JP, the 3rd place was for newcomer Joep. No losses this tournament, a great result! Congratulations on this achievement! Finally, to add insult to injury, you beat me in best-in-race! Not only did I not make the top 3, I was the worst goblin player in all the tournament!

Honourable mention to the number 5, Niek de Bree (edit: I confused the brothers, apologies!), who faced off against Theo in the 3rd battle and would have won this battle if only the game would have stopped at turn 6. If this dice roll would have turned out differently, you may have won the tournament! Your Tkin list worked wonders and shows the power of this new army!

Finally, congratulations to Albert for winning “most beautiful army”. After the first battle every player could judge the armies and select the three most beautiful armies. Albert got the most votes, almost half of the people selected him! And rightly so, as his Order of the Green lady is a wonderful project.
