Monster March – finished!

This year’s Monster March has been a breeze and the result is quite nice. Using Contrast Paints to paint this girl was super easy. I think I name her “Hilda”.

Some fluff about Hilda will feature later on this Blog. Keep Posted!

In the end, converting the model was hugely rewarding. It even took more time than painting and basing her altogether, yet the result is worthwile. With ample time left, this project is finished. Here’s the model from another angle:

As for hobby stuff, I’ll continue building a new regiment of soul reaver infantry. I built one regiment a year ago, but who could limit himself to only one?

The first batch of miniatures has been painted. (I need 14 + a vampiress), the 2nd half is halfway.

I still love the combination of ghoul heads with paladin foot guard bodies. As for this batch, I’ve experimented with other bits from my bits box such as the hammer from an old 2000-ish Warhammer Empire state troop champion and the sergeants’ helm from a perry twins mercenary plastic set. It’s good to have a well-filled bits box!

Here’s the same batch at a slightly different angle.
