A few months ago, I got the brainwave to update my brotherhood army to Kings of War. You can find everything about it here.
One of the things that needed doing, was the rebasing of my Forsaken beast. He’s the guy on the left. It’s just a varghulf model that I once bought as part of a larger army deal on ebay.
That said, it’s good to see where we stand two and a half month after starting.
-Regiment of Abyssal Hunt / mace of crushing. (done)
-Regiment of Redemption (still needs doing. placeholder regiment here)
-3 regiments of vilein initiates (all painted. 1/3 multibased). I fooled a bit around with the knights before they were multibased, see here.
-2 troops of reconnoiterers (one done; one placeholder pistoliers)
-Forsaken Beast (done, see above)
-Mounted Exemplar / sword of Slashing (done, he’s in the picture of the 30 knights)
-mounted adjudant / flute of bane chant (done,
he’s in the picture of the 30 knights)
All-in, I’m pretty content. The army is almost useable! And that in under 3 months; while being distracted by another project.
Further progress
So there’s need for the 2 regiments of initiates to be multibased. (there’s some progress, but slow and frankly, I’m getting a bit bored with basing, so I’ll be skipping at least the 3rd regiment till later) and the two placeholder units need replacement.
This is where I start:

As posted before, I own a couple of sad outriders. (story here). They’ve been bought when they were hot, scarcely assimilated, used a few times and then left to die in a box.
I built my reconnoiterers from these guys and I’ve got plenty to do a 2nd (even 3rd and 4th) troop of them. These guys above will be my 2nd troop of recon’s.
Other than that, I found an unpainted empire knight in my bits box. I’ll be experimenting with colours/conversions for my order of redemption.
