and some of my hobby results
It’s that time of year when the leaves fall and it gets dark early. This leaves a lot of time for painting. Not that I painted so much these last days, but JP certainly did!
Two years ago, I posted about a pegasus cattle trade that started a remarkable friendship. JP traded my ancient GW peg for a nice conversion which I really like. Recently we did a trade again. But now, after two years, JP finally got around to painting the original pegasus. (which -in contrast to the title of this blog post- is his) The results are very nice, so here they are:

Thas something to be proud of and I hope to meet this guy on the batllefield many times!
My own painting

I also did some painting myself. Firstly, the ogre crossbow sergeant for my 750-point ogre army is finished! As I said before, i really like the Northern ogres 3d prints. This gun looks positively menacing! Kaboom!
Other than that, I managed to finish my napoleonic riflemen. The front three models are Perry Twins plastics, while the back two are GW riflemen. When I ordered my historicals I thought I ordered two sprues of riflemen, but apparently I only ordered one. This means I am short two models. When I’m ordering from Perry (or Warlord) again, i’ll order these two along, but for the time being the GW guys have to suffice. Yes, they are too large and lack the proper uniforms, but on the other hand, I painted them in the right colour scheme!

Painting tally:
A reoccuring part of this blog is the where I keep track of my minis waiting for paint, counting my number of newly accrued miniatures compared to those actually finished!

First another sad announcement. I lost one of my two spare angel models. The model fell and broke one of its wings. When I tried to repair it, one of its weapons broke. Then, in a fit of bad luck, when I had to get off the table to grab something, the model dropped and the other weapon broke too. At that point, I decided this angel was cursed (and it was spare anyhow), so I threw it out!
- start 7
- painted +5
- ogre sergeant.
- 4 new riflemen (one was my test model that I painted several months ago)
- one model shattered (+1)
- And no new models
- Total: 13
I’m in the black again! I might even be looking for something entirely new. But first, I need to finish those ogres! And i have an idea to finish a red (no: blue-) goblin sharpstick regiment using those heavy-armoured bodies and heads from the goblin sprue to compliment the ogres. I’ll keep you posted here!
