The summer hiatus has ended, but I haven’t done so much hobbying. Just finishing up a few small projects, such as this 3rd troop of panthers/mastiffs.
As I do like the models, I might buy a few more. They are also decent additions to other units as they add quite a lot of character for a little base space. That, and they are also not that expensive, so it doesn’t break the bank to buy a few for the bits box.
During summer I also finalised my horde of palace guard. Here they are:
And here they are in combat, alongside my other Basileans.
As you might notice, I use two kinds of large infantry in my Basilean army, both are ogre palace guard. In the middle, the new “stormcast” palace guard are shown, on the right the ancient dogs of war ogres. It’s my ambition to paint up two hordes of stormcast palace guard, and the first are on my painting table.
There’s only one problem: as I bought the models online (2nd hand), they are an -ahem- interesting colour.
Why someone would paint their models pink still baffles me, but there’s still the slaaneshi fan crowd.
That said, these really need an overhaul, both in colour and head swaps.
So that’s what’s on my hobby table. This fall will not be as productive as last, though, as I will move homes somewhere close to christmas and a lot needs to be done!
