Ever since I went to örb Wars in the early summer, my painting has been sporadic and fragmented. There’s no real urgency, so I paint from time to time, but no large scale projects. This is a collection of those various projects….
The first project is a unit of female archers. It featured as a troop of bowmen in my KoM army in örb Wars, but is actually meant as sisterhood scouts for Basilea. The models are frostgrave female soldiers and I think they look way better than the offical mantic sisterhood.

unfortunately, the box of 20 only comes with 8 bows and they don’t scale well with GW plastics, so I can only get a troop out of a box. The remaining models can be built as sisterhood warriors, but aside from a test model, I did not do so yet.

Another project built from the same box is this one:

It’s an abbess on chariot. The model (aside from the converted spear) is from the same box. The chariot is a 3d printed elven chariot and the mounts are Northern Ogre sawtooths which I had printed a while back.
I painted up a test model for a salamander Armada fleet. Lots of contrast paint to speed the process up. If I feel like it, I can crank out the remainder three ships in two evenings of painting.

Chosen men
Another project that’s been laying around for ages is my Chosen Men Warband. This project is something a friend of mine and myself started too long ago, but it’s nearly finished now!
Here’s the gun:

also in the picture are a few more finished models. A DnD female barbarian and three pikemen for my final pikemen unit. It’s not finished, but its starting to look fine.
Painting tally:
A reoccuring part of this blog is the where I keep track of my minis waiting for paint, counting my number of newly accrued miniatures compared to those actually finished!
There’s quite a few new miniatures and a few switched out:
- I got (another) goblin ambush box for cheap. That’s 54 new models.
- 2 mincers
- 4 large mawpups
- 8 small mawpups
- 40 goblins
- I gave away 8 ogre models. These were the leftover prints from my ogre army
- I gave away the final goblin flamethrower model
- I got 3 new stormcast models to build as ogre palace guard captains
- I traded for a damaged aragnarok spider to use as a legion of chariots.
- finally, a friend got me a custom-built bard to use as a model with the lute of insatiable darkness.
- my brother got me a 14 new ogre models to replace those I gave away.
That’s 73 new models and 9 models that I gave away for a netto influx of 64 models.
All in:
- start +12
- painted +22
- 7 sisterhood scouts, 1 sisterhood warrior
- 4 new models: abbess, two sawtooth, chariot
- Armada salamander ship.
- Gun, 4 crew
- DnD barbarian
- 3 pikemen
- netto influx of 64 models, which means -64.
- Total -30
I’m at -30 models, which means that I have a lot to paint before I can get new models. Maybe it’ll help if I scour the 3d printed halberdiers from my collection that I don’t think I will paint shortly in order to make room for other stuff. We’ll see!
as I have completed my goals for this time, I will probably be starting on a few sisterhood models and maybe my custom-built abbess on a chariot!
