Pre-clash painting update

While i’m at Clash of Kings this weekend, I sheduled this update to appear on my blog. It’s just my regular painting update keeping me up to date with the painting tally and giving me a target to aim for when buying new models this weekend.

First of all, I completed my two mincers:

I love the new mincers from the Ambush set even that I might buy another few just to paint and convert them. While I do like the result, it was a bit of a rush job as the tournament was around the corner!

Other than that, I just painted a duo of goblin luggits converted from rabblers. Not that I needed them, but just wanted to paint something while the mincers above dried.

Collection changes

We have a new member in our gaming group. He wanted to play undead, so I scoured my collection for unwanted models. I sold him a full box of zombies I had laying around (20) and 16 varied models (plus a number of headstones that I don’t count) these models I got from an ebay purchase aeons ago. As I don’t think I’ll be painting these even, they can make room for new projects!

There’s even an old Mantic Revenant King and GW skeleton standard bearer from ’93! (Gawk, that is old!).

I started out with a new project – Chosen men. I got 16 new historical models, light infantry from the Napoleonic era. I’ll show them shortly!

Painting tally:

  • start -22
  • painted +4
  • Sold +36
  • New models -16
  • Total = 2

Yeah, I’m in the black again! That said, I’m probably gonna buy some new stuff at Clash of Kings (not to mention that goodie-bag XXL that I bought) so I’ll be setting myself up for an age of painting without new models. 😉 But thats okay. That’s why I keep track of this!

And there’s still the option of giving the goblins of the Ambush set away, so I’ll happily spend some money there!
