Hobby – all hail the queen

As posted last time, I wanted (no: needed) a model for the monarch, the new Kingdoms of Men titan for Kings of War. She’s been finished a week now:

I love the print, the model and the paint job, so I’m pretty content with the results. Here’s the queen herself in close-up.

The model is really massive, reaching almost 20 cm tall and her wing span is probably the same. She’s on the required 75x75mm base and only the fact that the wings are more than 15 cm above table level means that I can get her base to fit in most battles. She simply towers over all opposition and shrouds them with her wings!

As she promises to be an important part of my KoM armies, she definately needs some fluff!

Speaking about goblins: between painting the queen, (when the titan needed to dry) I managed to paint four more goblin rabble. The goblin progress is slow (12/30 rabble) but eventually they will be finished…..

as usual, I keep track of my pile of shame counting the number of newly accrued miniatures compared to those actually finished!

I finished five models, Queen Mismeria and four goblins. I didn’t acquire anything.

• Total = +6!

I might actually be in the situation to buy a new model if I want to…. but first, let’s finish those goblins!
